Small Enough to Be on the Counter

This chopper is small enough to be on my counter but big enough to handle most chopping jobs. I have had this chopper a couple of weeks and now I am looking for recipes that their are parts that need to be chopped, pureed, whipped, etc. It is that fun!
I own a 9-cup KitchenAid food processor with a 4-cup mini bowl. I used it quite a bit at first but eventually gave up on getting it out as everything about it was painful to use. I just got used to doing all my own chopping, whisking, etc. No more! This chopper is at my fingertips and is easy to use and clean. I wish I had at least a couple of bowls because I don't run my dishwasher as much as I use the chopper!
Things I love about it:
- Quiet.
- Doesn't jump all over the counter.
- The cord wraps around the base and ends up on the back so I don't have to look at the plug.
- The blade is close to the bottom so no chunks are left after chopping.
- A very even, fine chop as I like my veggies very small.
- The center tube is tall enough not to allow liquid to drip out when starting to pour (my food processor does this)
- Comes out of my Bosch dishwasher looking great.
- Making my own salad dressing, salsa, and whip cream.
- Strong enough to chop walnuts and gentle enough to whip meringue.
- Can add oil through the hole in the top so I don't have to stop, open, add, close, start, repeat.
Things not so favorable:
- I have a hard time getting the bowl locked on the base. I have pretty normal sized hands for a woman and I find myself pushing against the speed switch to get the bowl in place. I try to stop myself as I don't want it to break off.
- The 5-cup bowl only holds slightly less than 4 cups. If I have more than that, food goes down the center tube.
- The bowl handle is not very comfortable on my hand.
- Have to hold the attachments in at the top with my finger if I want to pour and not have them fall out or didn't want to take the time to take them out.
- Does not dice.
- Am hoping the lid tab that starts the power switch doesn't break off.
Great little chopper at a reasonable price! Here's to cooking with things that are fun!
