Bought this double oven range to replace the old range and my free-standing toaster oven. Aside from the learning curve associated with the way the burners are turned on, this has been the best item in my renovated kitchen. The upper oven is so useful for quick toasting, baking small items and located perfectly for keeping an eye on progress. So easy to operate, setting oven temperature and baking time is intuitive. Also like the griddle and the look of the entire range.

Grates are scratching my pots and pans!

As much as I have always loved KitchenAid products, this product is a big disappointment to me. Not only are the grates scratching my pots and pans, they are scratching the stove top itself. I love the double oven, but I would never recommend this to anyone. Why buy something that is going to ruin itself and your cookware. I've only been using it a little over a month and look at the damage it's already done!

Installed 2 months ago. Looks great. Easy-ish to clean (top grates are heavy and can be cumbersome to remove). Top oven preheats very quickly and cooks warm (food will finish cooking quickly). Have used both ovens simultaneously and works well.

My husband and I love baking. The convection oven does such a good job! We got many compliments on our cookies and pies even though we used the usual recipe and ingredients. I could tell the difference, too. It bakes more evenly and the dough stays slightly more moist compared to the LG convection oven we used to use (only a few years old model). Also, easy to clean, black stainless is fingerprint resistant, and the knobs are not too easy to be turned (meaning just a light swipe doesn't move them like the one we used to use). Alarms are simple beeps, which I prefer rather than odd tunes. I highly recommend this range!

Burners cease up!

Have had this stove for a little over 4 years, have had 4 burners cease up. The Valves are garbage, and are not covered by Kitchenaid. Paid over $2000 for this stove and lasted 4 years, ridiculous. Like this stove. It should have some kind of warning when the burner knobs have been accidentally turned on (letting gas out) but not lit. You can also smell gas a little when the ovens light, but that soon disappears. Really like the double oven

My Dream Oven

This is the first gas oven I have ever owned. I love it beyond words. I love the 2 oven concept. I have not lost any wasted space (expect for that dumb warmer drawer on my electric) I love how it is instant heat. It is easy to use, love the middle griddle. So much nicer to use works like the black cast iron pans only better. I would definitely recommend this oven. Only used convection aspect once will play with that a bit more. Beyond happy with this purchase.

I've only been using my new range for a month now but I love it! First of all, it looks great in our newly remodeled kitchen but most importantly, it works very efficiently. We changed from electric to gas and the transition was wonderful. Our food gets cooked, baked and broiled quickly and it takes no time at all for the oven (esp. the upper oven) to preheat.

I enjoy my new kitchen aid stove but I'm not impressed with having to pick up the whole grate to clean the top of stove. The middle griddle gets hot when using burners so be extra careful

bad feature on power outage

i paid big bucks for this unit...i'm in the hurricane florence NOW...Power is out and i can't use my gas range...it locks me out can't turn gas on and light burner manually like every other range i have had....great job kitchenaid... now i have to use my gas grill to cook food...very mad!!!!!

We've had this stove for only a month but we love it. It's very impressive. We use the small oven most. Really like the five burner different size option. We'll have to write another review in a year to see if I'm still loving it.

What a difference!

We really only bought a new stove so that all of our appliances would match. I had no idea what a difference there would be between this stove and our 24-year-old stove that was still working. Things seem to cook more quickly thanks to being able to choose which size burner to use. And the flame is more even, which makes cooking with my clay pots more efficient and less damaging to the pot. I like the middle burner. And the griddle, used according to the instructions (not over that middle burner), works beautifully. Because its summer here I haven't used the oven yet, but I'm sure we will get a lot of use out of the top oven. It seems perfect for 2 people. I only chose the double oven because it looks so cool. If you host a lot of big dinners I'm sure it would come in quite handy. The biggest downside to this stove for me is the absence of a workspace. I have no counter near my stove and there is no place to even lay down a spoon on the stove. The grates are also heavy and tricky to remove. And the area around the burners is not easy to get clean; things seems to really stick, and I'm afraid of scratching the surface. I've only had this stove for a month, but overall, I am happy with my choice.

Nice looking appliance

Everything works great but design of the back of the oven needs to change to better accommodate gas lines and valves that protrude from the wall. By not having a sufficient back indentation it prevents the range from being able to back up to the wall. This creates a space between the edge of the backsplash and the back of the oven. It also causes the oven to protrude from the edge of the cabinets which makes it unsightly from the side view.
