Several things I like about this range: The front is not a black-black, it's sort of a charcoal and therefore is just classier looking. The stainless steel ovens looked cheap, in my opinion, although I originally wanted stainless steel to go with my fridge. There is a choice to bake with the convection on or off or you can choose to do the converter, putting in your recipe time and temp and it will convert it to the convection baking for you. The oven heats quickly. There are 3 racks and the inside is a bit larger than my old oven. The edge to edge cooking surface is nice because you don't have to have a pot sitting exactly on a small grate, which sometimes would unseat if I moved the pot without care. Also, there is more room to fit pots on several burners. This range came with the griddle that is moveable to left, right, or middle. I made pancakes on it once and don't think I will use it again unless I have a LOT of pancakes or other griddle things to cook at one time. (washing a griddle pan is much easier than this--although I suppose I could have just wiped it down while on the range). I DO use it as a spoon rest or like a "counter" to hold something temporarily. There is a drawer underneath, which doesn't get hot and will hold a few pans. I'm not sure what I'm going to use the drawer for, but put pans in it to show. Special note: When purchasing a convection oven, make sure it's a Tru-convection...one with a burner at the back of the oven and not just a fan. The only thing I do not like about this is the two front burners on the stove are the hottest. Even the lowest setting in front, is too high to simmer sauce or scramble eggs. I've been told by many friends that most ovens are built this way now. My old stove had one high and one low one in front. So, I'm learning to cook and bake (in a convection) all over again after 40 years of doing it one way! I do use the 5th burner in the middle for some of my low cooking. I AM a cook and I bake for a small business so I am skilled in this area and a good tool is a must for me. This was a great purchase. Don't forget to purchase a hood, if needed!! (we went from a white range to this dark one). I have several photos but they won't upload!!
