The unit was installed about a month ago and since then it has been a pleasure. Not only is the quality excellent the aesthetics are wonderful. The microwave light does not work properly as it will turn on high, low but not off. A maintenance guy came a week later and said it was a sensor. Waiting for that part. This was a very expensive appliance and I did not buy the extra warranty as Kitchen Aid is a quality appliance. Hope it is not a lemon as it's brand new!!!

great Microwave but cosmeticly poor

The finish on the open button started to wear off after just 2 mts. My 5 year warrentee only covers this if reported in the first 30 days. For what this item retails for it should last longer I also bought a range at the same time and had to have a repair due to the finish on control panel being pitted, Kitchen aid is not the Quality i thought it was.

My biggest worry was the size inside. I have one dish I use for a breakfast casserole and I didn't think it would fit, but it does. As for outside dimensions, any other over range microwave would have been too big for my space. This one fits perfectly.

Mine has made a cycling noise since the day I got it, they replaced the part, I was sick for the year, at just under year same part already louder, they are agreeing to pay for 44$ part but then I have to cover install 125$ that's ridiculous for a new over 2300$ refrigerator. It's so loud I can hear it back in my bedroom. I really feel sick that this is going to be ongoing issue.

Finally, a microwave that fits in my small kitchen

This low profile microwave gives me much more room on my stovetop. This microwave's size now allows me to use my large soup pot without turning the lid upside down because there was not enough height from the stovetop to the bottom of the old one. The outer trim of the microwave matches my Kitchenaid gas range exactly. Installation was fairly simple, also. Am very satisfied with options and ease of use. Would recommend.

Space-saving replacement for an old vent hood

This product allowed me to get rid of a large countertop microwave and free up a lot of space in my kitchen. The dimensions of the KitchenAid were exactly what I needed to reuse the previous exhaust vent. After buying the KitchenAid, I saw a Whirlpool WML55011 in a store. It looks exactly like the KitchenAid for a lower price. Hmm. Feeling a little dumb for paying the higher price for the KitchenAid name.

We bought this to replace a larger microwave that had stopped working. I love the slim line look and lights under the unit that brighten the stove cooking area. I find the controls a little challenging, and I can't hear the timer chimes in the next room. The first one that was delivered was damaged inside the box and it took several weeks to get the replacement installed via Home Depot.

I wasn't sure about spending the extra money for a low profile Microwave. But in the end I'm glad that I did. It looks nice and the size is plenty enough. The fan works great-and with 4 speeds. The LED light is the nicest I've seen on an over the stove unit.
