This was a great toaster for a while. Then the cheap plastic lever broke, replacements are available but it will break again. Then sitting at about 4 years of service, it doesnt get very hot anymore. Toaster waffles take 7+minutes to get a slight tan on.

We got this 2 years ago, and have been fairly happy with it, but now the lever won't stay down at all. This is too expensive of a toaster to have it give out on you after such a short amount of time (and of course only has a 1 year warranty!) very disappointed.

I bought this a few months ago and I use it everyday for my toast, which I eat for breakfast. The bread I use is a bit small so I really love the manual lift, which I've never had in a toaster and always had to use a knife to get the bread out. So this is extremely functional for me. The slots are really wide for any type of bread and there is a bagel button. It also gives off small buzz sound when your toast is done, which is great because I'm often getting ready for work while toasting. I have 2 other KitchenAid appliances that are blue and this red toaster looks great alongside the other 2. It's sleek and easy to use. I just love it.

We purchased this toaster about five years ago, I love the quality, it's a very durable toaster. The only problem we have had is the handle broke after about 2yrs, so I super glued it, & it has held since. The bread or bagels are always toasted to perfection according to the selected color. I don't think I would change anything about the performance/ toasting output or the quality of this toaster, but I would like to decrease the time it takes to toast the bread.

The manual lift lever is great. You don't have to worry about burning yourself trying to get a piece of bread out. It lifts the bread out for easy access. Very easy to keep clean, inside and out.

I hate the loud beep when the toast is done.

The loud beep when the toast pops up scares me every time. There is no need for a beeping sound, and I can not find a way to turn off. Quality seems poor because even though outside is stainless steel, lever function feels cheap.

BURNS THE BREAD ON 1 EVERY TIME

My third kitchen Aid toaster. The first on stopped working under the warranty so I got a new one. Different color :(. That one lasted a couple of years. Out of warranty. Bought a new one less features KMT2115ER. This one BURNS THE BREAD ON 1. What a hassle getting it replaced by the company. They sent a 4 slicer AFTER 10 DAYS. Not what I wanted. Now I have to wait days for a shipping label to sent the 4 slicer back and then they will send me a new 2 slicer (I hope) then I can send the unusable one back.

Consistently burns toast

Our Kitchenaide toaster consistently burns the toast, even when set at 1 for darkness level, unless you pop it up and turn the bread around. Very unhappy with this product..

Exactly what I was looking for in a top of the line toaster. Equal toasting on both sides and easy to operate. Like the extra feature of the little "ding" when the toast is done.
