OK, but I expected more from KitchenAid

I have the older version of this model that I purchased from my local appliance store back in 2009. Yes, it was that long ago, and I can see that not much has changed with this refrigerator as far as features and quality. I will say that I do love the layout and the GOOD quality of the door shelves and the rubber linings that make for easy cleanup. The trouble started when the thermostat went out while it was still under the one year warranty. The interior water dispenser ended up being a burden because my kids were opening the fridge 10 times more a day which kept causing the temperature to rise. The deli drawer door is THE WORST design out there. We replaced the first broken door after only a few years. Then, it broke again. This time, I'm leaving it alone and will be purchasing another refrigerator which is why I came to this website. Also, the ice maker broke TWICE. We threw it out and went back to ice trays. Also, the plastic clips that hold the produce drawers in the gliders broke, so the drawers no long sit straight. Oh, and the white border around the bottom shelf is covered in white TAPE and is not plastic all the way through which is peeling off so bad just from normal use. More, this refrigerator, if they haven't changed to airflow, WILL freeze your food whenever it decides. I haven't left the temp setting at the recommended 37 degrees since almost the beginning because it would be a freezer rather than a refrigerator. I have to keep it between 40 and 42 and it still freezes food in the deli drawer, really bad on the lowest shelf, and randomly throughout. I have had meat freeze and also glass, quart-size mason jars completely crack full of ice which was once liquid food. Now, maybe because the fridge is reaching its sad, short life of 10 years, the compressor runs and runs even with the inner water dispenser being disabled several years ago, which in turn causes my food to freeze. Mind you, all these issues have been going on for nine plus years. I hope KitchenAid has updated something, but the inside still looks almost identical to mine. NOT impressed and am finally having to cave and spend more ungodly amounts of money on a piece of intentional garbage somewhere else.
