amazing blending results

We were looking for a new blender as we make smoothies daily and our old blender wasn't working very well. Somebody suggested this blender and we are thrilled with the results! Everything is blended down so smoothly (MY hubby puts fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds in his smoothies) and there is no grittiness in the smoothie. I made broccoli soup and got a silky smooth consistent in that too.

Loud screech noise on first use

I was so excited to receive this blender after reading all of the positive reviews, especially those regarding smoothie making. The first morning that I attempted to use the brand new blender to make our smoothies, the blender began making a horrible screeching noise as if the blade was not aligned even though it sat perfectly evenly in the base. It was unable to blend the smoothie, leaving even a fresh soft banana in tact. Trying next with just water as a test, the screeching noise continued. I guess we'll have to return it. Very disappointing considering the $250 we paid for it.

A beast in the kitchen

This blender is an absolute beast in my kitchen. Frozen fruit, yep. Ice cubes, yep, so far you name it. Puree soup, milk shakes, frozen drinks, done. Additionally it is easy to clean and looks great on the counter.

Super powerful and quiet blender!

I love my K400 Kitchen Aid Blender! It is super easy to use and clean. The blender doesn't take up much room at all. The black color really gives it a simple yet sleek look to it. It blends really well. It's super powerful. I like the three preset recipe settings for Ice Crush, Icy Drinks and Smoothie so I don't have to guess at how well to blend my smoothies. I can adjust the speed to my preference of taste and texture with the 5-speed dial. The blender itself is sturdy. The motor is powerful with a 1.5 peak HP motor. Plus, the blades are sharp and durable to blend up any hard ingredients. I was very surprised at how quiet this blender actually is. I'm able to have a conversation while blending. I love how fast the blender actually crushes, blends and smooths my ingredients. I love the size of the large pitcher. This blender also has accessories that are sold separately to make this blender more versatile in the kitchen. I will definitely be purchasing in the future. I'm super happy with this product. Definitely recommend!

Quiet, Powerful and heavy duty Blender

At first glance this blender did not look like it would be powerful. However, after the first use I had a much different opinion! The blender has 8 speeds and a pulse option. You turn the dial to the intensity and push the blend button. Even at the lowest speed it is able to power through ice and frozen ingredients like it was nothing. The pitcher is made of very heavy duty plastic and feels like it would with hold anything. I have put the top and bottom through the dishwasher and no issues there either! What suprised me most is how quiet the blender was. Even at its highest speed I was still able to hear and speak to others in the room without interruptiion.

Very well made blender, stylish and sleek

This blender is definitely a top of the line appliance and also looks great. I had no problems with pureeing and blending, including making smoothies and mashed potatoes. The one area where the blender struggled was crushing ice cubes. This is not a typical task, but I just wanted to make smaller cubes but they kept escaping the blades, even on the ice cube setting. Other than that, I highly recommend this model.

This is by far the best and most powerful blender I have ever had. I was really amazed how quickly it can crush, blend, and smooth! Since I use this almost daily, I keep this right on my countertop. It has a nice simple but sleek look to it. It's not bulky and I like that I don't have to fumble with all sorts of blades and attachments. All in all great blender to have for all uses.

Great for morning smoothies

This blender is great at handling my daily smoothies. It works just as well as a Vitamix, in my opinion, but with a much lower price point. I like the various speeds and the ability to "chop" frozen fruit a bit before blending. This is certainly not your typical $70 Oster blender. This one is powerful and blends very smoothly.

I didn't know my life needed this blender.

Full disclosure; I have yet to make a healthy smoothie, meal replacement, or blended ingredients for a fresh salsa with this blender. I've made margaritas with it. I've made more frozen margaritas with it in the past week than I have in the past few years with my old blender. It's pretty cool. The multiple power setting are nice, but the preset tings for different types of drinks are what have won me over. The blender seems to know how fast or slow to turn in order to get a solid frozen consistency. It's a heavy duty well made product that I'm super happy to have added to our home kitchen. You should be warned that heavy duty especially applies to the weight of the base. This isn't light weight, but I think that's a good thing. It's easy to use, and looks good. It's functional in purpose and design. I love the idea that this blender can also replace my food processor and smaller single serving blender by purchasing some accessories. I don't have any of those yet, but I'll be in the market to streamline our kitchen using this one product. This blender has the potential to help us clean out some drawers filled with other devices. It's as if the approach to this device is similar in the way the company handles their mixer. With the right adaptors it can be a lot more than a blender.

I used this tonight to make frozen banana peanut butter and chocolate ice cream. I love all the different setting it has. It worked better than I expected. It's heavy so it won't move while you're using it. I do wish the container was glass but it's pretty heavy duty plastic. I've had blenders burn out quickly. I honestly don't think this one will do that at all. This will be in my kitchen for years. It's also nice enough looking you can leave it on the counter instead of hiding it away.

This blender is wonderful. It looks modern and attractive which is great so I can leave it on my counter in between uses. It has a simple dial system that allows me to pick just the right setting to get the consistency that I want. I make smoothies regularly and I love that this blender actually makes it smooth with no chunks. It works very fast as well. I am also happy with the fact that it is very easy to clean. This is a high quality product that makes my life easier. It is not very loud either. The size is great because I can choose to make a small amount or larger if I am making something for my wife too. I am very happy with this blender!

Greatest blender I've ever used!!

Hands down the best blender I've ever used. It's essentially a commercial grade blender. Several different blending options depending on what your objective is. I personally make a lot of smoothies with plenty of frozen fruits and ice. This blender handles the heavy workload with a breeze. It's a perfect smoothie within seconds. No chunks at all as it's perfectly blended every time. Cleanup is simple as I just pop the pitcher and lid in the dishwasher and it fits right in. Base is a little heavy, but is to be expected when you get a blender that's commercial grade. Highly recommend for anyone who is a regular smoothie drinker or just having issues with their run of the mill blenders... the K400 will change your life!

Finally a safe blender

I recently was 2nd degree burnt when a quick mini shake blender blew up and splattered hot liquid all over my kitchen and face. I need a safe and powerful replacement. The K400 Blender by kitchen Aid is heaven. I can not even believe I survived this long without a proper blender. The boxing and packaging was very protected and very little environmental paper and plastic waste. It was easy to set up and a quick read for the manual before I could get started. I guess I never realized how loud most blenders are until I noticed the difference of when this one runs. It is so quiet. The great thing is that it is also very powerful. It has a couple of pre-programmed settings and then there is the option where you can choose the speed you want as well. It seems to handle tough ingredients with ease and makes a great smoothie. Clean up is easy and it is not huge so storing it is easy too. Overall you cant ask for a better blender.

This blender is another gem by KitchenAid. What a beautiful stainless finish that matches perfectly with my other KitchenAid products. I could not be more pleased with the quality of this blender. The simplicity was concerning at first, but I have not had any issues attaining the desired blend. My biggest pain point with blenders is always the sound. Blenders are loud, which is unavoidable. That being said, this blender is not overwhelming. I was also pleased to make a smoothie without stopping to push down the fruits to ensure a full blend. Awesome!

I have had an ancient cheapo blender for ages- prob bought in college to make margaritas. The thing could hardly blend up soup after all the ingredients were boiled. This KitchenAid model is a whole different ball game - super speedy, doesn't sound like its motor is about to fry, has lots of options for intensity and looks/feels high quality on my kitchen counter. The KitchenAid K400 blender is a powerful appliance. It easily blends ice to make a smoothie or margarita. Spinach also blends nicely into my smoothie. It is very easy to operate and stays in place while blending. The blender looks very nice displayed on my countertop, which I am happy about since I use this often. It is relatively light considering how durable it is. Cleanup is easy too. I just add water and a few drops of dishsoap, turn on the machine and let it clean away. Rinse and drip dry. Easy!!! Highly recommend this blender!

I am truly impressed with how well the KitchenAid K400 Blender works. The sleek and simple design makes it so easy to use. Plus its not embarrassing to leave on your counter when not in use. Very light weight to move around but is so durable! It has a soft start feature so everything gets mixed consistently. The smoothies I made are the best I ever had. So smooth it breaks down the ice perfectly no more large random chunks! Awesome for Smoothies!

I love this blender! My main use is for making green smoothies and homemade nut butters. So, I want to make sure it's buttery smooth when blended. This definitely delivers. Has no issues finely blending nuts, hard fruits, and veggies. Makes them creamy and smooth in less than a minute. Compared to my Vitamix I find it takes a bit longer to make whole nuts blend smoothly. It still does but maybe 20 seconds longer. For the price cut compared to a vitamix definitely worth it though! Overall, I'm really happy with this blender and would recommend it to anyone looking for a high-performance blender that looks great and delivers a great value. Pros: - Square sturdy body! Looks stylish and makes it easy to pour. - Pretty quiet for a high powered blender - Design-wise, it looks amazing on my counters. It has a sleek design looks modern and clean. Cons: - I find it a bit cumbersome to clean the blade portion when I make homemade peanut butter or other harder to clean products. I wish the blades were able to separate more easily for cleaning. - Wish it was glass and not plastic.

The sleek look of it and the variety of colors they provide is awesome. instead of the multiple buttons usually on other blenders, this one has a dial wheel which controls the speed and selects the already preset setting of ice, drinks and smoothies. With that being said, it actually crushes ice and it is impressive. The base is heavy and slip resistant which is great. I have been using it to blend and make baby food actually and i am happy with the results as everything comes out of this blender smooth and without chunks. Super happy with this blender.

This is such a powerful blender! It's the best one I've ever owned. My kids and I have made delicious smoothies in just seconds, leaving no chunks behind. I have also made adult cocktails, which requires crushing ice, effortlessly. It's very easy to use, I barely had to read the manual. I love it! I'm very impressed with it.

Powerful blender

Thus is a very impressive blender! Not only does it have good weight to it, but also looks very sleek and modern. It has 3 preset settings such as Ice Crush, Icy Drinks, and smoothies. It also has 5-speed variable speed. It really crushes through ice effortlessly and blends through food with ease. It has a simple knob to control it all. It's a great addition to my kitchen and looks great. It's actualy not as loud as my last blender. It also really makes sure all the ingredients are well blended, even small pieces. Everything comes out very smooth and it's very spacious.

A sleek looking well designed monster. Blends perfectly for all that post workout smoothies and mixes. Its pretty tough and well built, the large base makes cleaning a breeze which is one of the most fiddicult ones in the blender. Extermely simple to use and occupies less space.

This blender has wowed me and secured a permanent place in my kitchen. I've used this more than any other small appliance I own. It is a wonderful, powerful blender that surpasses all others and the nice wide container is easy to empty and clean. Everything my food processor used to do, this blender does in half the time and with far better quality. This blender has handled fresh ginger, frozen fruit, raw beets, nuts and carrots like a breeze. Everything comes out smooth, no chunks or pieces. Just a beautiful smooth blend! This is the best blender I have ever owned. This k400 blender is so special because it does a lot of hard work. The ice blends and crushes so easily! It has 3 preset recipe programs that include ice crush, smoothies and Icy drinks! Slushes are great to make with it. I have blended raw veggies, cookies veggies and fruits. Everything always comes out so smooth and creamy. It even easily blends frozen fruits with ease!! It is easy to take apart and clean and easy to store.

My new go to for making Smoothies!

I have finally found the perfect blender for smoothies. It does the perfect job of pulling down the ingredients to mix them together. The base is very heavy and well built. The pitcher is plastic but it seems to be sturdy so far. It is easy to clean up as well. I have also used it to make sauces and frozen margaritas and was very pleased with it. It is powerful without being too loud. I leave it out on my black granite countertop and the matte black of the blender looks very nice. I am thinking about getting a second one for our bar in the basement for drinks. The only thing I would change would be to have a glass pitcher.

Best blender I've ever used!

Absolutely amazed by this KitchenAid blender! It does an excellent job at blending and my family and I have enjoyed smoothies, milkshakes and slushies with this so far. It crushes ice with no problems at all and leaves no big chunks behind either. The base of the blender has a rubber bottom preventing it from slipping and sliding everywhere and the best part? It has a button to self clean itself! What an amazing feature! The pitcher is plastic (another great feature) so no worries about breakage. This blender is very easy to use, just set the dial to the desired setting and press power to start, press again to slow down or stop it. Extremely impressed with this blender and all of the features and the best I've ever used!

My new everyday blender

This is my new everyday blender. It is similar to other models but this one appears to produce a stronger blended smoothie and in general, it is just a sleeker machine than my previous blenders. The self-cleaning function is great though for heavier cleans, but I like that this is dish washer safe. I will be making many years worth of smoothies with this blender.

Kitchenaid never fails me. This blender is one of a kind. It does it all . You can get icy crushed juices , icy drinks or just regular drinks at a perfect texture with this blender. Very powerful and sturdy. I love the technique of the soft start it has and I can control what texture I want for my smoothies easily. Now I can make my favorite smoothies home and I don't have to buy it ready anymore. Best blender out there.

Recently got this blender and I absolutely love it! The first thing I noticed was the power of this blender, it works very effectively and doesn't take much time at all, it blends perfect smoothies, and what I especially love about it is the fact it has 3 preset settings, like ice crush, icy drinks and a smoothie setting, that I found was super convenient, but it also has more speed settings for different ingredients you add! Another thing I found especially unique and great about this blender is the fact it's made with a soft start feature, meaning it starts the motor at a slower speed to pull food into the blade then quickly increases to the speed you choose to avoid splatter, that I found was very admirable! Overall I've had a great experience using this blender since owning it and I would highly recommend!

I never realized you could fall in love with an appliance until I started using my kitchen k400. It crushes ice with amazing speed and its like a snow cone. All uniform and not liquefied. The funnel in the center shows off its amazing speed. My morning smoothies have never been so delicious, well mixed, and blended. Nothing is a match with this, everything blends well. It's compact and very stylish. I love how easy it it is to clean. Due to how easy it is to clean, it's used daily in my kitchen. I love the variety of colors you can purchase this in, but I did go with standard black. Nothing beats a classic, and this is a classic.

My KitchenAid k400 blender is officially my favorite appliance in my kitchen. In fact, I think every kitchen needs one. Not only does it go with every kitchen decor, but it works wonders. My daughter and I love having fruit smoothies and it works perfect. Or for crushed ice, I even lover making my own salsa and Chile so it works out perfect. With other blenders I would always have trouble with the ice and even the long Chile not blending up right. Not with this blender, it works perfect. It is high quality and worth the value. My favorite feature you don't get in other blenders is the self cleaning setting. It definitely helps! It is truly very simple to use. I like to be able to get my daughter helping so she helps throw the ingredients in and help turn on to the the right setting for the smoothies. She says she loves making her own smoothies.

Love this blender. It makes smoothies better than any other blender I have every owned. It produces a quality smoothie comparable to those at Panera or any fast food restaurant. There's something unique about the design. It's pulverizing everything I need to make green smoothies and shakes to supplement my diet, and it does it a lot faster and better than any blender I've used in the past. Most importantly it is the EASIEST to clean and really gets the job done fast. That's important when you don't have much time! Attractive enough to leave out on counter and not unusually large. I use mine every day, at least once a day. Worth every penny.

This blender is a beast! I have owned many blenders but never used one that has the power this one has. I make a lot of smoothies from frozen fruit. Most blenders work ok but I usually have to stop it, open it, stir the chunks and continue blending. I usually have to do this a few times during the blending process. This one pulverizes the frozen fruit I use (usually bananas, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and raspberries) in under a minute. I never have to remove the top to stir. It comes out so smooth and no chunks are left. I really love the dial compared to buttons that are on most of them. It is so easy to use. Set the dial, hit the power button and let it do its thing. The Soft Start feature is genius. It keeps the splatters down that usually happen when using a blender. Cleaning the jar is effortless. This one has a self-clean mode which makes it incredibly quick to clean. A little soap and water, run on self-clean mode, rinse and done. I am so incredibly pleased with this blender. It is by far my favorite. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great quality blender that can take on pretty much anything you put in it.

KitchenAid did it again! This blender is such a great modern look into my kitchen but as always KitchenAid didn't just make it beautiful they made it durable and functional. This is so well crafted it will last forever. I'm not going to skip about the functionality because it gets the job done and with ease. I went straight for trying the tough stuff 1st. I began with a milkshake and frozen fruit and it blended it with ease so next I tried ice and frozen fruit and it again blended it with ease both drinks came out very smooth. Because of how tough this blender is I wasn't leery of putting frozen things into it.
