I bought this blender as a replacement for my vitamix which I gave to my son. I new that I made the right choice as soon as I opened the box! Beautiful modern design! Hefty motor and base! powerful! thoughtful controls! Immediately I decided to ! make a nice spinach smoothy. For a test I threw in two tablespoons of chia sees! as I drank my smoothy, I couldn't tell if the chia seeds were even in there!!! This blender is fantastic! Vitamix has nothing over KitchenAid!

My husband bought this for me for my birthday. We had been looking to purchase a quality blender and this happened to be on sale, so we decided to try it. My green smoothies are completely blended (even the seeds of strawberries) and are so much better than they were with my standard blender. I can't wait to try more recipes! The only thing I don't like is the size of the base- it's a bit bulkier than I would like, but I am able to easily stow it in a cabinet.

The KitchenAid High Performance blender is awesome. I expected great milkshakes and got them. I had high hopes for silky, creamy smoothies and got those too (even the ones with greens!). Perfect margaritas every.single.time. What I didn't expect was the versatility of the KitchenAid High Performance Blender. I used it to make hummus and it had such a fine consistency - so good and just perfect. I used it to make a pesto - the different settings and high powered motor made short work of the almonds and parsley and garlic and chunks of cheese. I make vinaigrettes and dressing and sauces that I never would have considered. KitchenAid has given me the keys to a sports car after driving a hoopty mobile for years. The feeder tool helps ensure you get every iota of food mixed perfectly. The motor is powerful when you need to pull out all the stops but can also be fine tuned to gently incorporate. This performs like one of the fancy machines I've seen on Chopped or other chef shows and it makes everything easier and just plain tastes better. Purée, mix, blend and chop your way to better dinners at home - that is what the KitchenAid High Performance Blender can help you do. Highly, highly recommend. (And don't sleep on the margaritas, folks)

WOW!!! This blender is a powerful, state of the art blender in your kitchen. I put this thing to the test by packing in frozen fruits and vegetables. I thought I would need to allow everything to sit and thaw to handle the ingredients, but it literally puréed and smooth everything out in a even smoothie consistency. It cups with a convenient measuring cup and a tamper accessory as needed for optimal blending performance.

Lots of good things here. The plastic is perfectly clear...not sure why some aren't, but it looks great. Square top, lid fits snugly - no leaks. Blends evenly and cleans easily. Base was a little larger than I expected - easily 1.5x as wide as the container, but not a real concern. Switch on back to turn on (didn't find that at first), but then everything pretty self-explanatory.

Powerful awesome blender!

It took me a while to really test this mixer out. I've done several foods in it and everything has blended well.The blender itself is cosmetically nice looking that I keep it sitting out on my counter. The blades are powerful and did a nice dinner of puree for my elderly dog. Blended and chopped very well so she was able to eat it with ease. I also have tried some various salsas and smoothies and all have come out very good. The blender itself has got a lot of power and does not struggle whatsoever to blend what I needed blended no matter what food I put in it. Every morning I do a smoothie with ice, almond milk, berries, protein mix, banana and chia seed. Turns out perfect. I would recommend this powerful blender to anyone as it is an exceptionally nice high powered appliance. It was very simple to use and figure out especially as my eyesight gets worse as I get older.

This is a beast of a blender! The base is extremely heavy, but in a good way because it won't slide across the counter like my past blenders.I do not have to hold on to it while it is blending. This will blend anything from smoothies,to soups,dips and mayonnaise.As soon as I got this blender I made smoothies. Then frozen drinks.And all I heard was more,more,more from my family. This blender also comes with a 10 year warranty. The pitcher it comes with plastic so it's not heavy. I LOVE that. This will be that last blender I own! I highly recommend. Love It!

This is by far the best high end blender I have ever used. It makes the absolute best smoothies, crushes ice with no problems, and I even made a great soup in it! Overall - this blender is easy to use, easy to clean, and works great. Details: - Heavy, beautiful base. Keeps the blender firmly in place while blending even the most difficult things. It doesn't bounce around at all and minimizes vibrations. - The container is plastic and very easy to clean and holds plenty! We make smoothies for our family of 4 in it no problem. - Has amazing blending action! Some combo of the shape and the blades makes this blender a beast!! It has perfectly blended everything I have tried so far. - The lid fits securely and is easy. One negative for some people may be that it is very heavy but this doesn't bother us at all. I like that the weight keeps it still. We store it in the cabinet directly beneath where we use it but it is very pretty so if you wanted to you could leave it on the counter.

I am loving this blender so much. I've only had it for a few days but have already made margaritas (twice lol), nut butter and salsa. The blender comes complete with instructions and a recipe book, which is where I got the recipe for the Nut Butter. Be sure to read the instructions (my hubby tried to use it but didn't pay attention to the fact you have to turn it on in the back of the base). I am so impressed with how quick and completely this blender works, our margaritas were perfect in a minute with no large lumps of ice but smooth and just right. I made salsa without bothering to even cut the ingredients into chunks, I simply dropped them into the blender and it came out perfect. Another thing I really like about this blender is the recipe book, not only do you get the recipes but they tell you the correct use of the blender so there is no mystery on what to do. One word of caution you need to know is that this is not a small blender and it won't be one you can place in a cabinet, the base is a bit heavy so I strongly suggest you have room on your counter.

Powerful and beautiful blender

Right out of the box this thing screamed quality. From the heavy duty cast metal base to the size of the blending jar, I knew tons of yummyness was coming my way. This KitchenAid High Performance blender performed like a dream-Beyond the usual smoothies and icy drinks I mixed up a lot of keto and low carb bread and muffin batters, pureed berries for jam, blended oils for dressings, and even made my own hazelnut butter. Everything turned out so smooth and well blended with no effort at all. The heavy base kept the blender from walking on the countertop, the variable speed turn dial easily changed speeds when I needed to, and the pulse button was great for the ingredients that needed just a bit of chopping. I didn't even need to use the included tamper/pusher because all of the contents spun around in their little vortex evenly. I prefer the lightweight plastic mixing jar over heavier glass since my hands are getting older and less able to grasp. All of the mixing parts are dishwasher safe, but it also cleans easily filled with warm water and a drop of dishwashing liquid on max. The included recipe book was a nice surprise :) Overall I am very pleased with the functionality, power, and quality of this blender and will continue to use it daily without worrying about it slowing down or burning up...and if by chance something would break it DOES have an outstanding 10year replacement guarantee. Great job KitchenAid :)

Simple controls, easy to understand and use. Less than a minute of blending and I had the smoothest smoothie I've ever made. Also does an amazing job with almond butter and cashew butter. No chunky bits left after this gets to work. For the size of the motor it is not as loud as I was worried it would be. Is about on par with a regular lower power home blender but with so much more power to go with that noise. If you want to make nut butters or smoothies, this blender is the blender for you.

My wife and I previously had a Kitchen Aid blender that we received as a wedding gift 25 years ago. It recently met its demise after thousands of morning smoothies and frozen drinks. I was a bit skeptical of the quality of newer blenders. The Kitchen Aid High Performance Series blender has proved me wrong. It is even more powerful than my previous one. It blends and chops ice easily. It is easy to use and clean. I am very impressed with the quality, especially the pitcher. We are looking forward to many years use in our kitchen. High powered blender!

I got a new KitchenAid blender, so I had to see how it made pina coladas! I used frozen pineapple, and even at half power, this blender turned the ingredients into smooth perfection. The blender is super powerful, you can even make nut butter with it! This blender features a measuring cap built in the lid, which is helpful so you won't over pour the rum. Clean up is a breeze by putting hot water and a squirt of dish soap, then blend until clean. The base is very heavy and sturdy. The container is made of bpa free plastic, and not glass, which I would've preferred. I imagine they used plastic to keep the overall weight lower. The handle on the container feels slightly flimsy if the container is at its 60oz capacity. The appearance is very smooth, modern, and streamlined. For all the power this blender has, the sound level is very reasonable, even at max speed. I'm very happy with this blender; it is a solid investment!

When my new blender showed up in the mail, I was surprised how big and heavy it is! But wow, what an amazing blender!! I've been wanting to make homemade Nutella, but my old blender would have nothing to do with it... this one handled it plus the added cream cheese to make hazelnut cheesecake bites! Ice, no problem... Smoothies, smoothest ever... and it's big, so mix up a huge batch of margaritas!! The tamper is good, but I wish it were about an inch longer... assuming they held it up just so it wouldn't touch the blades in case someone tried to use it with the blender going, but if you follow the directions, it would be great if it reached down a bit further. Otherwise, I fairly certain I'll never have to purchase another blender for the rest of my life!

My family loves drinking smoothies daily, making homemade sauces, and chopping up ingredients for salsa. A good powerful blender is a great kitchen tool to have. KitchenAid is a very well known brand, and I believe they are one of my top go to kitchen gadget company. This High Performance Series Blender is great. Since getting this blender I've used it many times. Each time it's easily blended all of my ingredients and didn't require much time to blend them. The blender was well packaged in its box. Easy to take out and set up. It came with the instructions and with a recipe book. The recipe book provides many simple to make drinks, sauces, and dips. Love when companies include these booklets. The instructions about the blender are simple and easy to follow. I was able to wash everything easily before my first use of the product. I hand wash, but did read that all parts ( except the base ) are dishwasher safe. The actual base is very hefty. The weight I'm sure is because of how strong the motor is. The weight isn't a huge problem for me, but I'm sure those with wrist problems might not be able to constantly move this blender around. The blender jar is a good thick plastic. The measurements are easy to read on the side, and make it simple to just add your ingredients in. The top of the jar pops on and off easily, and stays on securely during the blending process. The top also comes with a built in measuring cup. I'm not sure how often I'll use it, but I'm sure it might come in handy. Along with the blender jar, the machine comes with a blending stick. Used for moving the ingredients around while blending. This is a very handy tool, making it so I don't have to constantly turn the machine off and scrape/mix the ingredients around. One thing I'm unsure about is how the blender jar sits into the base. At first it seems secure enough, but while blending it somewhat wobbles around, and I have to gently hold it still. It's only on the higher speeds though. The controls are super simple and easy to use. The main on/off switch on the back was a good idea, and will make it difficult for my kids to accidentally turn on the machine. I unfortunately can't keep the blender on my counter, it's just to tall and doesn't fit under my cabinets. If I don't put the blender jar on then it fits perfect. Cleaning the jar is fast, and easy. As mentioned before, I hand wash. So what ever doesn't come clean after quickly blending water/soap through it, I can easy take a rag and clean around the blades. Overall this is a very powerful blender, easy to use, and blends everything wonderfully, but it is heavy, and the jar has to be held at higher speeds. Besides those few negatives, I'm very impressed with this product, and can't wait to try out more recipes with it.

Great Blender, but HEAVY!

I received this blender a few weeks ago and have used it every other day to make smoothies. It reminds me of the Vitamix, but not as powerful. It mixes frozen fruit, veggies, spinach, etc. very well though, relative to the Ninja. Warning: the box/based of the blender is VERY heavy and bulky. Would not recommend to people who do not have a lot of kicthen counter space.

This blender is powerful. I made frozen drinks all weekend and it never slowed down. This thing is heavy too. Very sturdy and well made... not your average cheap plastic blender. I'm pretty sure this baby can handle whatever I throw at it. I just have to keep my husband from using it to make wood chips for his smoker (that's what happened to my last blender)!!

King of all blenders

First off, this thing is about as sturdy as it gets. Don't expect this to take up no space on your kitchen counter... because it will take up space. But it is totally worth it. Soups, smoothies, you name it, this is hands down the most powerful blender I've ever owned. I do love my Ninja bullet which has been great, but it doesn't even compare to this blender. You can guess which has taken over my counter. This is a bit pricey for sure, so that is something to keep in mind. If you use blenders regularly, it will be worth your money to purchase.

No more dead blenders!

I will be 40 years old this year and I have lost count of how many times I have made my kitchen a completely nightmare with the smoke smell of dead blenders. I truly believe that with the Kitchen Aid High Performance Series Blender these days are totally over. This thing is a beast filled with power! My first recipe prepared with it was my famous carrot cake, which requires a lot from a blender. It made the mixture smooth and bubbly which later resulted in a perfect delicious cake. This blender does wonders for smoothies too. What differentiates this blender from others I have had is that it works extremely fast and it gets things done the first time. Concerning looks, it is very sturdy and heavy therefore I recommend it as an item that one would have on their counter (not on and off). Another great feature is the fact that despite being a beast, the noise it makes is not that different from other blenders. Finally, it is super intuitive to operate and it comes with a recipe book! I can't wait to prepare my own hummus. It is the next thing on my list.

Heavy but excellent

I love this blender! The base is large and very heavy so it is best on a countertop. This is kind of unfortunate because I do not have much counter space but if I had to lift it in and out of a low cabinet I would never use it. It is a heavy duty blender. It blends very finely and crushes ice quickly. It is pretty quiet for a blender. The plastic container is easy to clean and doesn't keep a film or anything. I have used it to make a lot of smoothies with raspberries and some tomato sauces and it hasn't changed the color of the container. It is easy to use and we have been drinking a lot more smoothies since we got it! I highly recommend this blender.

When I decided it was time to upgrade to a higher end blender, I looked at all the options and the Kitchen Aid stood out. I own many Kitchen Aid products already and have always been extremely happy with the quality and durability of their products. I figured no brainer worth a shot, and I am so happy I did.This thing is truly amazing. Everything I have made so far in the blender has been incredible from smoothies to margaritas. It is super easy to clean and added bonus all attachments are dishwasher safe. The variable speed works beautifully to accomplish desired consistency with whatever you are blending. Wish I can give more stars for this blender. We got it from a sampling program but couldn't believe it was this good. It is so sturdy and powerful that me and my husband joke that we can now open a smoothie stand in our local farmer market just with it. A full container of fruits and ice and veggies can be blended into a nice smoothie in less than 30 seconds. I love it!

I cannot say enough good things about this product. I am so happy with this machine. It is not only beautifully designed, it is excellent at every blending task. This is so very easy to operate, has variable speeds on the turn knob and pulse toggle type switch. This blends and purees easily and quickly due to the high power. It is extremely powerful and heavy duty. The best thing that I have found is with it being heavy there is no worry about it moving while blending. Even when running on high for a long period, the blender stays put. I have used it to make smoothies, milkshakes and even baby food for my granddaughter and the tamper really works great for this. I love how quiet this is, it is quiet enough that I can actually have a conservation while it is running. It is very easy to clean,no parts to remove, it is even dishwasher safe. This product is definitely made to last, even a lifetime. I highly recommend this to anyone that is in the market for a blender, they will not be disappointed. I am looking forward to using this for many years and also trying new recipes!

Powerful blender

This is a heavy duty,commercial grade blender. It's great for smoothies and homemade salsas. Looking forward to making frozen drinks all summer! The only down side is that the base is very heavy and large and it takes up a bit of room on my kitchen countertop. On the plus side,it's quieter than my old blender.

Great, high-powered blender (but very heavy!)

I've now used this blender for a couple of weeks, and am really impressed with the ease of usability, power, and ease of cleanup. I've had issues with past blenders at lower price points not being able to handle frozen fruit or ice -- with this blender, I've found that it handles the "harder" items with ease and much more quietly than my previous blender. I've used this to make sauces, soups, and smoothies thus far -- all have come out velvety smooth! The one con that I'll mention is this is definitely not a space saver -- this blender is large and heavy (probably 15-20 pounds). However, what you lose in space you definitely make up for in power, as it works so well for so many different foods/uses. If you are someone who uses a blender every day or several times a week, this one is probably worth the investment and counter space.

I only THOUGHT our old blender was good... Then we got this Kitchen Aid. With this blender's 2237 watt motor, I'm almost certain I could blend our old blender into a smoothie with this thing. Note: I do NOT recommend this, I'm just saying it's probably possible.This blender is a beast! It mixes and crushes ice so much better than our old blender. The protein powder mixes in well & don't get stuck to the corners, which I love. The base is super stable, but heavy which is a plus for us, but if you keep your blender tucked away in a cabinet and pull it out to use it, this is something to consider.

This is the highest quality blender I've ever owned. It blends quickly and efficiently, and does everything from blended drinks, to pesto, to shredding blocks of cheese. It's extremely powerful and the settings are simple and easy to use. I've also never used a blender that didn't need a little manual assistance, and the tamper with this one makes it easy to get the stubborn bits that get stuck up top down into the blade. It's loud, but not unbearable. It's also really easy to clean, which is a must for me with kitchen stuff. It's also gorgeous to look at, and something I'm happy to keep out on the counter all the time rather than stored away where I'll forget to use it.

I got this blender because I love Kitchaid products, they always have amazing quality. The base is quite heavy which I like because I have had other blenders that move while on and this one does not. I love this blender. As somebody who is constantly making smoothies, protein shakes, and juicing, this blender outperforms any other blender I've ever owned. It has a strong, heavy base which provides great stability so you don't find yourself holding the blender in place.
