Horrible Customer Service and assistance

I purchased the unit for my parents and have had it for less than a week; I went to turn oven on and then cooktop and a large spark came out of the unit and it shut down. I contacted Kitchenaid and they provided they would need to send a technician out. They sent for a technician and the he never shows up which was unprofessional. I then contacted Kitchenaid and informed them of the issue and they tried to contact him and provided his number did not work. This was so unprofessional as they entrust individuals to assist customers but do not even have a way to contact them and Kitchenaid lists them as an "Authorized Repair technician". When I contacted them back they apologized but at this time they provided well we have to send a technician out because there could be something wrong with your outlet and home and we have to check the issue. So now, I am delayed even longer without a working unit. I feel they have failed and they sell high premium products but provide poor cheap service. If I could all over again I would purchase GE; GE would've replaced it with no issues but Kitchenaid is being cheap and does not care about the inconvenience they are providing to their customers.

Not a good replacement for Jenn aire

Althogh Kitchen Ai owns Jenn air and is recormended to replace the downdraft slide in, it is not that simple. I have a granite counter top It is deeper than the jenn air also a little wider had to build a plastic room over my counter to cut counter also had to remove floor tiles under stove so the hight would match counter. Bought the trim kit I did not use I just caulked around top looks neater The fan is another problem, had to change exaust duct as the fan out let does not line up with Jenn Air Perhaps Kitchen aid engineers should design a true drop in Instalation cost almost as much as the stove. Had no other choice only stove with a down draft.

Be aware that, no matter how good this range may look or whether it cooks good, it is not in any sense of the word a self cleaning oven! The AquaLift cleaning technology is a complete joke. It cleans nothing! Not even after repeated cycles. You are not buying a self cleaning oven. I have since discovered on the internet there are class action suits against Whirlpool and KitchenAid for this deceptive and bogus feature. I wish I had found this out before throwing over $2,000 away on this worthless marketing scam. I would love to have one of their designers/engineers responsible for developing this joke to come to my house and show me how to clean my oven. At least you can learn from my mistake; avoid like the plague any of their products with AquaLift technology!

I replaced my original kitchenAid Range with the new model and it is a big disappointment. The stove top gets too hot too fast and burns my food. The oven is difficult to clean and takes a long time to heat to desired temperature. The drawer on the bottom is too narrow and won't hold my pan covers. I had to cut my quartz countertop to fit the new size. Give me my old range back!

A Pretty Good Slide-In Range

This range is a replacement. It has lots of bells and whistles (sabbath setting?) including a 'proof' setting (100 F, too high for my bread making practice). The controls seem accurate for both the surface elements and the oven. We have yet to use the low temp oven cleaning program. Among the deficiencies are the lack of a heated storage drawer and a 500 F maximum on the oven. I have always made pizza on my pizza stone at 550 F. Now I have to finish the pizzas using the broiler. We have noticed a humming noise whenever the oven fan is running. Overall, a pretty good range, with reservations.

Triple cooking zone only works at high temp

I bought this 4 months ago and found out that the triple burner heats at high temperature no matter if the knob is turned to simmer, L, or High. I boiled water with the knob set to simmer. Several tech visits and parts replaced doesn't fix it. Whirlpool is now saying that's the way it is supposed to work. That's wrong, a burner should not boil water when set to simmer. I'm just getting the run around and no help at all.

We love the large capacity oven and the convection feature, but I wish your manual was more thorough in instructions for using its many features. It has been something of a guessing game. I like the arrangement of the burners on the range. But putting the oven controls on the front is an awful ideal. I learned quickly to keep them locked because it's so easy to turn the oven on when reaching for something at the back of the stove. And when it's locked, it even locks the timer. This should be redesigned.

I've had this oven for a year and a half now so i can give a fair review. What I do like: -The stove top element sizes. -The amount of even heat control of the stovetop - The way it looks What I don't like -The oven doesn't bake evenly -The convection doesn't bake evenly -Preheat is SO ridiculously slow -Construction is very thin metal. It doesn't hold heat well -Exterior door gets so hot because the door is so thin, I have to keep my kids away from it. -Drawer is so thin and light it doesn't close properly -The door is so thin it lets all the heat out. Your baking will be under cooked by the door and over cooked at the back of the oven. -The oven overall doesn't hold heat, so temperature is inconsistent I purchased this because my mom has an older kitchen aid and it's been great. The quality for kitchen aid since then has gone downhill unfortunately. I have owned 6 ovens in my life. Most have been cheap low end models. This is the most expensive I have owned. While I am satisfied with the cooktop, the oven part is the worst I have ever used. I used to enjoy baking, but I can't get good results with this oven, so I rarely bother anymore. I would rather bake in the low end oven I used to have in my first apartment. I feel stupid for purchasing it, I wish I had read more reviews, but I trusted the name. As soon as I can afford to, I will be replacing it so that i can start baking again

First I have to mention the color. Black stainless is stunning! It resists fingerprints more than the stainless, although it might be harder to cover up scratches in the future since I cannot find a black stainless touch up paint from kitchen aid. the burners and oven heat up quickly. Very happy with this purchase.

Replaced a 20 year old KitchenAid glass top range.....front right burner switch was faulty and has been replaced. Ton of cook area, Love the oven size and efficiency, I'm happy.

After 6 months of use, this range has performed flawlessly. We use the convection feature nearly every time. The ultra heat and warming area are welcome additions to the stovetop.

I bought this range late last year. I am getting used to it. I am still looking for a better way to clean glass top. It already looks used. Also, not sure how to restart the timer on oven when baking "batches" of cookies, snacks, etc. It always interrupts the baking temperature.

Bought this a little over a month ago and love it. A real beauty and the big cook areas mean I can use some of the larger pans that never seemed to get even heat all the way to the edge..now I can cook a larger amount and do it more effectively,

Really like my KitchenAid, has wonderful features and easy to use. The only draw back is the control panel on the top, I touch it accidentally and turn something on. Other wise, I love the stove!
