I Love My New Kitchen Toy!

I bought my nice, shiny red Kitchen Aid mixer a month ago. It has made mixing so much faster and easier!! I was giddy the first time I used it at home. I learned about it when I took cooking classes at Sur La Table in New York City. As it was too big and heavy to take home with me on the plane, I waited for a sale once I got home and bought one. I do a lot of baking, cakes for family occasions and am getting into croissants, so this mixer is a godsend!! I've since bought the grating and slicing attachment. I love my kitchen toys and that includes my Kitchen Aid mixer!!

My sister gave me this for Christmas. I love the strong, silent, smooth motor. I can beat almost anything without overpowering the motor. I have moade muffins with batter so thick I dished it up into pans using an ice cream scoop, to delicate cake batters, to heavy breads, to egg whites and whipped cream. No Problem. I have uncluttered my counters by retiring the bread maker machine. I love the extra space for cooling freshly baked cookies. I have added your ice cream maker to my arsenal of tools. Make fresh fruit sorbets every week. Great way to brighten winter palettes up.

Disappointing mixer

I got this as gift to replacement to my 19 year old Kitchenaid mixer which had recently started struggling. This "new" mixer is loud, struggles when I add flour and the front kitchenaid logo for where you connect attachments keeps getting loose (never was a problem with my old mixer). This mixer is definitely disappointing to say the least.

I have had my stand mixer for about a month now and use it all the time! I love that it can handle double batches of my thickest cookie doughs. I used it to make pizza dough the other night (the recipe out of the mixer's manual actually) and it turned out great. The only thing is that I wish it still had the spring on the paddle shaft, apparently in the newer models they have changed this design, however I've used friends older mixers before and found that the spring felt sturdier and more secure. That being said, I do not think it has changed the performance one bit.

We have had a 5 quart Tilt head stand up KitchenAid Mixer for over 20 years and just after Christmas 2017 it started to growl a little bit. Never had a problem with it and decided the time was right and so was the price to buy a new one. We got 4.5 quart tilt head mixer and just love it. I wish other Appliance makers would take the hint and make their products like KitchenAid ( they never quit or ware out). Very, very happy..way to go KitchenAid

Great for batter good for dough

Recieved this model as a Christmas gift and tested if for Ukranian Christmas meal. It mixed and whipped well and is easy and pleasant to use. I made 5 batches of bread dough and while the machine worked it did seem to struggle to knead the dough. I used only white flour and no more than 6 cups of flour per batch and hand kneading any extra at the end. The machine laboured at times and even momentarily would stall out when the dough was trapped against the sides of the bowl. It never became hot or overheated and I was able to complete each batch satisfactorily. I used to have an old Bosch machine that came with several attachments and was a power house. When the bearings finally went after 30 years I asked for a Kitchenaid as several friends and family owned one. I bake far less frequently than I used to and have a very tiny kitchen so the smaller mixer seemed a better fit. I think the machine might be a bit underpowered to handle bread dough frequently, but for the occaisional use - as I intend - it is sufficient. All in, I am satisfied with the machine although it does have some limitations.

Stand mixed is very good but customer service is terrible. It took days to call and get someone to answer the phone and then the person couldn't find the model I wanted. Finally I decided to buy something else to use my promotional code 25% off and after shipping cost and everything it turned out the price is almost the same as in the store so I gave up.

Il fait des pates a tarte et a pizza dans le temps de le dire, pareil pour les pates a biscuit... seul petit bémol c'est que ce serais sencer pouvoir accepter 6 tasses de farines pour faire la pate a pain mais bon ca, par contre, j'en arrache.. je me contente d'en mettre 4tasses.. mais c'est vraiment le seul petit truc qui va moi bien.

I have wanted a kitchenaid stand mixer forever and was super excited to see great Black Friday pricing at Best Buy. Until I actually used it I had no idea what a difference it would make in cooking/baking. My first batch of cookies I was finally able to truly cream the butter properly making the lightest, yummy cookies. Bought this to replace one that burnt in a fire in our house. We bake a lot and use it often. Only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is they changed the way the wisks connect to the unit - preferred the old one. everything else is great

Tilted head mixer a must!

I love my new kitchen aid mixer, I was hesitant to buy one because I didn't want it to collect dust. I use it for everything though! Mashing potatoes, baking multiple batches of cookies and brownies, and it's super customizable. I wish it came with the lid to the bowl to prevent splatter. The different speeds are great for different recipes. You can even mix up pancake or waffle batter in it. It's definitely worth buying and it's super easy to use! Comes with 3 attachments. Would recommend!

Love my new empire red KitchenAid! Due to physical challenges, I upgraded my kitchen, with all new small appliances, in red. They actually simplify my kitchen duties way better even, than they look! I am so grateful to the Innovators who developed these products, that are allowing me to continue to make delicious, home-made food, using all natural ingredients, that I know and trust...and can pronounce! ;) Thank you SO much, for all the benefits and joy my new KitchenAid is delivering. This is easily the most beautiful and functional appliance I have in my kitchen. It does an exceptional job of mixing. I whipped whipping cream in only a few minutes, with excellent results. I can't wait to try some of the attachments. Bought this on Black Friday and got an excellent deal.

Bread without the mess.

I love my new Kitchen Aid mixer. It not only looks great on the counter, but it makes short work of bread kneading. Cakes and cookies are a breeze, too. I wish the paddle attachment would lock in, but I cannot find the guarantee, and it is past the expiry date. Even so, it does a great job of mixing cakes.
