Defective Product

I bought this as a gift to myself after being in a serious car accident. I had never had a kitchen aid before so I didn't realize that it wasn't working properly. The locking mechanism does not lock all the way and the top of the mixer bobs up and down. Unfortunately I didn't notice it worked differently than "properly working" mixers until it was too late to use the warranty. I'm so sad because this is so expensive for me. I will unfortunately not be purchasing kitchen aid anymore.

I had wanted this stand mixer for years. I finally got it. I use it so often it has a permanent spot on my counter. It is a great appliance. It's so versatile. Easy to use and maintain. I just ordered my first attachment, the meat grinder. I love it.

LOVE AT FIRST SITE

I fell in love with my 'classic' kitchen aid piece 12 years ago. I vowed to only buy a kitchen aid when my classic died. Well 12 years later and my classic is still kicking butt. So I figures I would probably die before my classic mixer so I treated myself to an Artisan with all the goodies that go with it. I haven't tried the attachments yet but I I whipped up a cake and pancakes so far, and I do mean 'whipped'. It whipped s fast and so well that both started to come to the top of the bowl. You could probably put this thing behind a boat and get a ticket for speeding. I just love it!

I just bought this last week so I have only had a chance to use it a few times. It works as expected. My only complaint is that I wish there would have been a warning on the bowl that it was covered in whatever it is that they use in the mechanical polishing process. Even though I washed the bowl as well as possible with soap and water I had to throw away the first thing that I used it for (chip dip, three cakes of cream cheese down the drain!) because it tasted like motor oil or something. People should be told to first scrub the bowl with baking soda before ever using. The film on the bowl was not visible before using it.

My old Kitchen Aid finally gave out (after 30 some years of regular use) so I purchased a new one in a beautiful gray color that matched my new kitchen perfectly. I love the new mixer, it is so much quieter than the old one and the bowl has a handle. I love the lower speed options on this new one so I can add flour to my bread dough without it shooting back out all over the counter!!! This model will probably outlive me.

After attempts to remedy the issue over the phone, KitchenAid customer service promptly replaced my mixer with a new one (and not a reconditioned mixer). My 40 year old mixer finally died and I needed a replacement. So happy I chose the KitchenAid-Artisan. It is just what I needed and I love using it! It is very easy to operate and does a great job.

quite a machine

Right when you open the box and pull out the machine and unpack the attachments, you know it is a quality machine. It is so powerful, and it cuts prep time for me significantly now. We have meat grinder attachment, too. About to receive the processor attachment - the one that will dice and chop. I might come back to review that, too. Originally bought mostly for baking, but I can see that it can be used for, well, everything.

I got this mixer for my birthday and I love it. It's sturdy and feels like a professional machine. It fits nicely under my cupboards and the color looks nice with our stainless steel appliances. I'm going to make some great nosh with this baby!

Love this stand mixer!

I got this as a Christmas present and I absolutely love love it!! It makes baking and cooking so much easier especially when I'm starting to get arthritis in my hands. The spiralizer makes so many things easier, from peeling and coring and slicing apples to peeling potatoes! I don't know why I have waited so long!

Real help and timesaver

I am have a medical conditions that limits my ability to lift my arms for more than just a few moments at a time. I always loved to bake and I thought this handicap was going to end my ability to bake because I was unable to hold a mixer and use my arms for a lot of the required actions in baking. My husband bought me the KitchenAid stand mixer as a surprise gift. Oh my, I am back to baking. It makes the work of baking so easy. Thank you so much. Your product allows me to enjoy baking again

Even though I purchased this outstanding appliance for my wife, I've found myself using it far more than her. It's ease of operation is unsurpassed. It's like the Swiss Army knife of stand mixers. Incredibly well built with a timeless design. So many colors to chose from. It was easy to find one that complimented our kitchen. I am a career chef. In my 40 plus years of cooking this mixer has been a familiar site wherever I've been. It's hard to believe I've waited as long as I have to purchase one.
