I have been using this mixer to make bread and cookies and it whips the dough and batter in just minutes. The motor is powerful and doesn't struggle even with wheat dough and oatmeal cookie dough. I recommend this to anyone that is serious about baking.

Great Features and Bang For The Buck

This model being refurbished was less then the smaller models at the time of purchase, so I pulled the trigger. Model came 2 days after ordering and everything in the box looked brand new. I've only been using this mixer a couple of weeks for bread and pizza dough, but it has really improved my bread making verses my hand kneading. I just didn't have consistency with hand kneading and my Kitchenaid has solved that problem. WIth the build quality and performance, I'm looking forwards to years of service. Next up is some new attachments for pasta making and food processing.

OMG, for almost a year I have been going nuts about the Stand Mixer but even the sale prices gave me pause when looking over my budget. Suddenly "refurbished" popped in my head and off I went. Great warranty offers so what did I have to lose. Whipped up my killer pound cake batter in half the time and effort it took with my old mixer. I bought this over a year ago at Sams Club. I was excited to upgrade to a Kitchenaid and gave my old hand-me-down harvest gold stand mixer (different brand) to my daughter. At least it is still working. This heavy thing wasted my countertop space and was used for holiday baking (maybe half a dozen times at most) before it decided not to start on Christmas Eve day when it was going to be used for making cookies and cake. We decided the $32 shipping pkg charge and estimate of somewhere between $50 to $200 repair bill on top of that wasn't worth pursuing when we'd gotten so few uses out of the darn thing. Right now it is worth more as a boat anchor.

I bought this a month ago it is my second KA mixer my first one was smaller and I passed it to my granddaughter. The drawback of my new mixer is they substituted a 6 qt bowl for the 5 qt bowl and the mixer blades don't get to the bottom of the bowl !

10 years later - Still Love it

I bought a refurbished RKG25H0X in Metallic Chrome 10 years ago. She's a beast and has handled everything I've thrown at her (except pigskin). I stripped a gear (metal) when I tried to grind up some porkfat without removing the skin. That was totally my bad. I bought a replacement gear set and fixed her up (I call her the 'Alien Queen') and she's back at it. Best appliance purchase I've ever made.

I bought mine brand new from a major club retailer in chrome. I have had it for a month. Made bread, rolls, and etc. Does a great job for 525 watts. Didn't have to even make bowl adjustments because everything mixed evenly and well. Really like fact I can use all my previous attachments with it. Wished the beaters were dishwasher safe though. Other than got it on sale at a great price and we'll worth it.

I received this as a Christmas present, but it didn't work. Followed all instructions but it wouldn't even turn on. Luckily the return policy at Sam's was easy.

Excellent mixer

I truly love this mixer but when I bought it from Sam's Club I did not realize it was refurbished. I was very surprised. I know or at least I hope that the warranty is in force, I also took the additional warranty from Sams.
