Let's be real. KitchenAid mixers have a reputation of outstanding quality. Even my friends talk about the KitchenAid mixer they inherited from their grandparents. This is a replacement mixer for me. The Artisan model was smaller, and had less power so it had difficulty with heavier doughs. This one has shown no such problems, and the added capacity is excellent. The larger radius makes it easier to add ingredients, and the mechanism for holding the mixing bowl at the sides rather than the base means the bowl does not get stuck as sometimes it did in the smaller model. It's very much worth the additional cost for these benefits.

A home bakers dream! Powerful! Purchased for my son who just graduated from pastry school. Handles 4 pounds of cream cheese without breaking a sweat! Large capacity bowl for making multiple loaves of bread. Attachments purchased for Kitchenaid Artisan mixer can be used with our 6 Quart mixer. My son said this is the mixer he used at school and is delighted to own one for himself!

Kitchenaid Pro 600 6-qt. Bowl-Lift Bowl Stand Mix

My husband bought this mixer for me for Christmas 2017. I love it, but if I could have the perfect mixer, I would make this mixer 2 inches shorter. It won't fit on my counter because my cabinets are 16.5 " from the counter top. I also wish the head lifted or there was an easier way to take the beaters off. If not for that, it would be perfect.
