This is a very powerful tool for baking. The lift bowl system locks the bowl in place. The machine is 525 watts, 10 speed. Excellent Stand Mixer.

Did not Know it was refurbished. Used a few times but it seems that the bowl is not as sturdy as it needs to be. Very wobbley. I dont think it will be able to make bread. Plus it is loud. Not sure if it suposed to be as loud as it is. I also have to scrape sides alot. Otherwise saved alot of time.

Purchased my Kitchenaid mixer to replace a hand mixer that I purchased several years before. Initially I was reluctant to spend that much for a mixer. However after using it a couple of times I realize I made an excellent choice. In the past it took me quite a while to prep my food with the hand mixer now it only takes minutes to prep my food with the Kitchenaid stand mixer. Now I'am on Pinterest everyday looking for new recipes to make. Thank Kitchenaid for making such a wonderful machine.

My husband and I bought this mixer last week and have already used it on three different occasions. I absolutely loved using it to make homemade banana bread and my husband got the grinder attachment and made homemade hamburgers. I also used it to shred chicken and was very surprised and pleased with how easy it was. I love how convienent the lever is for when you need to remove the bowl and how easily the KitchenAid works in all. Great purchase so far!

I bought this a month ago because i just started my home business. Everything was workink good until one day i put the ingredients to do dough and the machine after 5 minutes turned off. I waited 15 minutes and the same happened. The day after I tried again but I put less ingredients. It worked perfectly. It works just for a determinate cuantity . ( no lore than 1kg of douhg mix) And... is too noisy

Very happy with this product. The only thing that could be improved is the bowl placement. It is challenging to get the bowl placed on the two hooks add well as lining up the back notch. It takes both hands for sure!

So was told they would ship me a new one ,now I find out it is not new it Is refurbished thought was good customer service until this point ! I did not pay for refurbished mixer I paid for new one ! I purchased my KitchenAid Stand Mixer as a Xmas present to myself. I had wanted 1 for many yrs. & after burning out 3 Hand Mixers in less than 2 yrs. decided it was time to satisfy my desire. My KitchenAid Stand Mixer is everything I wanted in a mixer... I have made Choc Chip Cookie Dough & a Lemon Bundy Cake with it so far & it is a absolute dream to have. I have read many reviews on here & honestly don't know what some people are talking about regarding (Batter being left at the bottom of the bowl unmixed & burning out the machine). The directions tell U clearly how to properly care for your machine & what speeds to mix various batters on. If I had a complaint about my machine, it would be that it is a little bit noisy, but other than that it is easy to clean & does an outstanding job of mixing. I look forward to spending many yrs. mixing with my KitchenAid Stand Mixer & if & when it does finally retire I will be more than happy to replace it with a new 1 if it can't be fixed. There's a reason that KitchenAid has the reputation & longevity that it has "QUALITY")!!!!

So far I've only used the mixer once since purchasing it in November 2016. I love it. I mixed up a large batch of cookies and it did it so quickly, that I was amazed. Why didn't I have one of these mixers sooner? I can't wait to try other things with it. It does a superb job of mixing completely all the ingredients.

I've been using KitchenAid Mixers for 40+ years now... Finally decided to Upgrade from a 4qt./1990's version. Normally Manufacturers Cheapen Their Product For Higher Profits. However This KitchenAid Pro5 is as Well Built as My Antique One! I wanted to be able to cook for larger family gatherings, and was sure that this bigger motor could handle those loads. But I was concerned about how it would mix our everyday mashed potatoes and banana bread mixes... I am very pleased to say that I need not have worried! This Mixer is Fantastic! I especially like that it starts slow, so that there is no splashing of ingredients! Wonderful product!!!

I got this as a gift a few months ago. It's easy to use, holds a good amount of batter (or whatever), and the color is gorgeous. I'm very happy that the bowl and paddle attachments are dishwasher safe. I took a star off because it is rather loud when it's on. The sound can be a little grating--enough that I've checked a few times to make sure nothing is wrong with the mixer itself. But it works fine otherwise, even if it does scare the cat.
