I bought the Artisan Series 5 quart TiltHead Stand Mixer so I could leave it on my cupboard. I have a 6 quart that I use but it's a bit heavy to lift for beating egg whites or smaller cakes. I use the 6 qt for bread, grinding venison for hamburger, larger cakes, etc. but found I missed my smaller KitchenAid mixer. My original one (4 qt) that my husband bought for me in the early 80's was given to our daughter a year after she married and he bought me another 4 quart mixer which we gave to our daughter-in-law and then he bought the 6 quart mixer. I missed the smaller mixer (I bake a lot) and truthfully the 6 quart was too big for my current baking for two. I have used the KitchenAid mixer since my Mom bought one in the early 60's and I have always had great results with baking/cooking/grinding with KitchenAid. I also have a KitchenAid food processor and 5 speed hand mixer. I have never been disappointed with my KitchenAid products and have recommended them to others. Thank you for creating a great product!

I really like how the mixer in general hasnt had many changes since they first came out... This is my 3rd mixer and also my newest... My oldest is 25 years old and my other one is 15 years old... I purchased this a few weeks ago.. and not with any hesitation. Iv got my kids one a few years ago and they love it so it's was moms turn. I don't bake ... but with this stand mixer.. I'm baking every night after work! I love it! She works hard but smooth .. thank you Kitchenaid.. I can now bake! My first ever loaf of cinnamon swirl bread .. work place devoured it ! I suggest you also look for Kitchenaid stand mixer recipes! I definitely recommend this stand mixer! I purchased a refurbished model... no dings or scratches looks brand new!

I was a bit skepticle about buying a "refurbished" product but was very pleased with the like new quality of this mixer. I did have to adjust the separation from the bottom of the bowl to the attachments but it was a very simple task.
