Still waiting to have our new Maytag oven to work

1st tried oven on 10/7/2119.took 1 hr to heat to 350.were trying to bake @ 400 but would not heat above 350. Called for service, couldn't come until 10/22. Service call determined new circuit board needed. Service scheduled to return 10/29. Hope this will fix the problem

I remodeled my kitchen due to a water issue. Since I had all new cabinets installed I decided to purchase new appliances also. The wall oven is my new favorite appliance. The bottom roll out rack if wonderful. This oven is much larger than my previous oven and will really be useful during the holidays.

Very pleased. Beautiful appearance and ease of installation. Door design allows great view while cooking. Cooks evenly and everything we have tried in it has come out very well. Love the sliding rack. But, 1 caution: you have to remove the door to install it. Easy task. BUT, the instructions on replacing the door are terrible. It came off easily, but was impossible to replace the way the instructions provided. I went online and found others just as perplexed/frustrated. But, on You Tube a guy showed how he accidentally found that if you lay the small notches on the door hinge blades on the bottom edge of the oven hinge slots the blades slide right in. Instructions imply you insert the door blades all the way into the oven slots so that the notches catch on the inner pins you can see from outside and say nothing of resting the notches on the lower outer edge, not inner pin. So, before you make yourself crazy, rest the notches on the bottom edge of the hinge slot, move it to 45 degrees and the door falls right into place. Ignore the instructions.

My new Maytag Convection Wall Oven looks amazing. The touch pad controls are easy to use. All the different features work very well. I really like the slide out rack. It makes putting in and taking out a heavy roasting pan very easy. A quality oven compared to others we looked at.

We bought our oven in October,2018, and it arrived on November 21, 2018. We had it installed on November 23. Prior to that, we had moved into our house on September 25, 2018, and the oven that came with the house was not functioning properly at all. We have been using our new oven regularly for all manner of things and are very pleased with it. The quick warm-up feature is great and the evenness of heat distribution when baking cookies is excellent. I'm looking forward to the turkey at Christmas and to many years of use.

I bought this to replace a 20 yr. old Maytag wall oven that had electronic touchpad issues. Let me say that anyone who listens to reviews complaining about this Oven should not put any attention to them. This oven DOES NOT make excessive noise. One thing it does make is "wonderfully, evenly baked food!!! The Rapid Pre-heat is great!! It pre-heats to 350 in about 6 minutes!!! My Wife says she has never had an oven that baked so evenly , in every area of the oven. The controls can take a little while to get used to as the sequence of buttons needed for certain functions can be different than ovens past. This should be expected with any advance in technology . We have not used the convection feature yet but are sure it will perform as well as the other programs. THANK YOU MAYTAG!!!!

Very nice oven with large window and easy controls. I do my own installs and received several cuts from the sharp edges on the back of the cabinet. Its pretty easy to remove the sharp edges and burrs in manufacturing, I should know I have been involved in manufacturing and tooling for over 40 years.

We were a little concerned baking a turkey for 14 people Afyer only having the Oven for a few days. The turkey turned out perfect. The juiciest turkey I've ever had. I bought mine a year ago, and I hate it. The food does not cook evenly. When I make rolls, they are dark brown on the outside and still doughy on the inside. Everything takes longer to bake than in a regular oven. What a tremendous waste of money!!

Functions well but has other issues seem stupid

The cooking functions are fine. But here are our issues. We did a whole kitchen replacement with Maytag via Appliance Solutions in Tulsa. The display on the Oven is orange, the display on the Maytag refrigerator sitting next to it is green. The oven glass tinting is so dark you cannot see into the oven to check how brown things are. This oven exhausts massive amount of heat to the surrounding cabinets. Similar dumb items with refrigerator and cooktop. Bottom line, we are getting ready to build a house and will look at other manufacturers other than Maytag.

getting to know the maytag wall oven

It's only been in our house for a couple of weeks. Bakes great. I was surprised by the "wind sound" that sometimes occurs during use but is quite prominent after unit is turned off. I timed the "wind" one night and it kept on for 40min. I was sure it was malfunctioning--I read thru the manual and found no mention of this sound. I returned to the dealer and described the issue and was told "all recently manufactured ovens" have that type of fan that runs to cool the unit after being turned off. When I purchased my oven the sales person dwelled on the easy to roll out shelves. I assumed that all the shelves would be that way but it is not so--only one of the shelves is the "ball bearing easy roll-out" shelf.

I bough this oven to replace a Thermador oven that I had for 19 years but was a dissappointment. This Maytag oven is great. Easy to use. Very accurate. I love using the convection feature.
