It meets our needs

It replaced our other one which was the top of the line and had many features which we didn't use and didn't last as long as we would of liked or thought it should. We just wanted another one that was basic, which this one we feel will meet our needs. It is noisier than our other one when running. I was disappointed that it didn't come with a instruction manual though.

Big Over the Stove Microwave

Our Samsung unit went out after 9 years of service and we heard that we were lucky for it to last as long as it did. I noticed the Maytag and the 10 year parts warranty when we went out looking for a replacement. The features and price were also in line with what we were wanting. Upon purchase, the install went easily and the unit has been performing very well. Hoping for another 9 years!

Big upgrade

We have had our new microwave for about a month now, are very satisfied with the quality and reliability of this unit. Our old unit bit the dust ,so we were happy with the performance of our Maytag dishwasher. This is why we decided on this Maytag microwave. We love that the unit is easy to clean both on the inside as well as the outside. It has a fingerprint resistant stainless steel front as well as stainless cavity which makes it a breeze to clean out. We also love the features of the keypad for example if you go to pop popcorn it asked you what size bag. Or if cooking baked potatoes how many are you cooking.....a lot of neat feature like that. Also it has the orange digital display as with most newer Maytag products. Plenty of light for the stove top surface with the two stage LED light and a adjustable fan speed.

I bought it when my daughter told me she had bought the same model every time she moved into a new house. When I opened the door after having it installed, I just kept saying WOW it was so shiny and looked to be stainless inside. I tried the setting for potato and did what it said for 1 potato and it came out perfect. I have used the reheat and defrost too. I am very happy that I bought it.

GREAT MICROWAVE, GREAT PRICE, 10 YEAR WARRANTY

Seriously, buy this for the 10 year warranty on the magnetron. Why? Seems that for each of the previous microwaves I've owned, which were the big "s", the mangnatron went out at the 2 year mark. Like it had a self-destruct timer. So, with a 10 year warranty on the part most likely to fail, this makes it a "must have" product. The stainless interior allows you deep clean meaning it isn't plastic, so it doesn't absorb bacteria, it allows you to clean it fully. That is important to me, and you can see it is dirty. My last one had a dark interior and hard to see if it was clean or not. Controls are simple and straightforward, nothing odd. Sensor cooking is a big plus, with presets for certain meal items. Same with sensor cooking for frozen items and also reheating food. The fan only has 2 speeds, but that has proved to be fine. And the clock, while orange and can be a challenge to see when it is in dim (sleep mode between uses), it is still okay. Maytag has never let me down, and I am sorry I had not gotten this sooner. Great price, great value, great name in appliances!
