We bought this dishwasher to replace our Maytag that lasted 20 years. There is a huge difference in quality, but double the price. The dishes come out dripping with water,even with the dry cycle on. The silverware is so wet we have to set it out on a towel to dry.

My only problem is I lost the end connection that came with the dishwasher that fits to the water faucet spicket. We have been very satisfied with this unit. The dishes come out clean without pre-washing, the noise level is acceptable and there is enough space for us to put all our dishes, pots and pans and start it every night (we're 3 people, 1 couple and 1 single). There are a few things that can be improved, but they are by no means a deal breaker. For example, the door where you put the soap can get caught in the top rack if you don't push the rack first before closing the door. Also, there are some gaps in the top rack that are a bit too large, but I understand making smaller gaps also means less water reaching the rack. The normal wash cycle takes about 2 hours, which is a bit longer than I'd hope, but the 1-hour wash is as advertised.

Different from what I expected

I ordered the Whirlpool - Heavy-Duty Dishwasher with 1-Hour Wash Cycle for the large silver wear tray first and foremost. It took a month to get in and the silver wear tray was not as large as I expected. I switched out the new tray with my old tray. I am also finding I am missing the tray that was in my old machine's door, that I used for knives and large utensils. The one good thing is it fits baking trays a lot better than my old machine. I don't believe this one has a garbage disposal in it like my old one did. It doesn't get stuck on dried cheese or egg off the plates very well. The machine is lighter than my old one and moves very easily around on bigger wheels. The top is thinner than my old machine. I wish the buttons were further apart from each other and ALL the buttons were printed in larger or darker ink so they are easier to read.

Outstanding Cleaning

This is not my first dishwasher. I estimate that over the course of my life I have had about four other machines. This dishwasher has done a remarkable job of cleaning everything that I have put in it. For the first time, I am really putting dishes, even dishes with baked on food, directly into the dishwasher without pre-cleaning and removing them sparkling clean. I make lots of roasted veggies and that half sheet pan really comes out of the oven with lots of crusty residue but this dishwasher keeps the pan looking almost new. I really did not believe this was possible until now. Not once, so far, have I had to rewash any dish. The only change I would make is not waiting so long to purchase this dishwasher.

Really like the job this dishwasher does. Replaces a 1976 model dishwasher that finally bit the dust. Only issue I have is I would like to see just the heat dry indicator remain illuminated during heated dry cycle to show that water using cycles have completed. Being a portable model, this would allow me to disconnect from the faucet and free up the sink for other uses when water supply is no longer needed.

Good Dishwasher

I've had no issues with my dishwasher other than after about six months it's a little louder than it used to be and ever since I bought it it has never dried. But I finally found the time to call and they're coming to service my Appliance soon.

Recieved a week ago and have used it 5 times. This dishwasher is loud, and takes a long time to wash the dishes. Two hours to run a normal wash. Yes, it does have a one hour cycle, but it does not clean well.

Not a good beginning...

We purchased this dishwasher from our local appliance store on a Saturday afternoon, and by Tuesday morning it had stopped working. The repairman came on Thursday and told us one of the motors was no good. Parts are ordered and it should be operational by next Thursday. I hope this isn't an indication of how things will be with this machine. Fingers crossed that it was just a fluke.
