Could use some improvement

I have used this range about 10 weeks now. It cooks and bakes fine. The problems I've had with this range are as follows. 1. The knobs for the surface burners are too easy to turn on. If you lean over the range so that your tummy rubs against the knobs, or you somehow brush by the range and accidently rub against the range, the knobs turn on the gas just a little, not so you can hear it but just enough that eventually you begin to smell gas in room and when you investigate, you find a knob slightly askew. That happens often. 2. Sometimes when cleaning the surface where the controls are lying, the controls lock, or can stop working altogether for a while. Unlocking is easy but when they stop working altogether, you can touch the controls all you want and nothing happens. Then about 10 minutes later they must reset, and start working again. 3. Cleaning the oven. The aqualift system only works with sugary residue. Greasy residue is untouched and the scratch resistant pads don't touch the residue at all. And you say not to use oven cleaners. So what now. 4. Power flickers can switch the controls to "demo" mode. 5. Digital features with favorite recipes and all the others may work for the younger generation, but I just need to set the temperature and set the time. I think some of the rest is a bit overkill

This piece of JUNK is WORTHLESS. Bought from BestBuy and in less than a year I have had to have the "Touch screen" unit replaced 4 times. I finally got fed up and told Whirlpool Customer Service (who is a nightmare as well) I no longer want your piece of junk. I want a refund so I can purchase anything other than Whirlpool. They told me I had to take an exchange.....EXCUSE ME???? When does Whirlpool dictate what type of appliance I have in my home? They are refusing to give me a refund only an exchange. Well, we will see about that! I'll keep you posted.

Annoying touchscreen

Good design and looks good if it wasn't for the touchscreen. When you trying to clean with just a wipe or rag it keeps going on and off and somehow it turned the oven on wich it was a real challenge to turn the oven off . Touchscreen cannot be deactivated. If I had the chance I would change it in a heartbeat.

The display is not functioning

There is no way to use my.oven the display os stuck on demo mode. I have contacted Whirlppol.and they said it would be 10 days. Before they could get a technical service person to.come to my area. The oven knobs need to be corrected for safety!

A huge consideration on buying this oven is the KNOBS. Be very careful as these knobs turn very easy If someone brushes up against them ( like reaching to a cabinet above the stove) It moves the knob enough for the gas to come out but not to make the clicking noise. This has happened many times for us. The big scare was last night when this happened and we didn't realize it and went to bed. I woke up at 11:00 to a house full of gas smell. Very dangerous!!! I went to Lowes today where I bought the stove to ask if there was a recall or If they could suggest something. They couldn't do anything for me. But gave me Whirlpools service number. Unfortunately they are closed. This needs to be fixed!

Such a sleek addition to my kitchen!

We bought this to replace our 17 year old stove which took 30 minutes to preheat. This stove is so sleek and clean looking. It cooks food like a dream and has even helped me decide what to set my oven at depending on what I was cooking. The ability to use 5 burners makes hosting family functions a breeze. Although we don't have this installed in an island, it would look amazing in one since it's low profile and sleek.

We have just started using this range since the past week or so. It is very well made and the finish and knobs etc are of good material. However, I do feel that the knobs are very sensitive and when you lean over the range and your body comes in contact with the kbnobs...the range turns on and I believe that this is a fire hazard.
