I'm upset that I even have to give it a star it should be zero. This microwave came with the appliances that was apart of a package for the home we had built, it's the worst. I've only had it for a year and a couple of months. The first 3 months in the clock kept resetting itself, then the beeping completely stopped after 6 months and now the numbers are all chopped off. keep away from this microwave. save your money

Heats food up well

The microwave itself is nice, heats food evenly and quickly. Only issue I have is the very first week I owned it, the door would no longer open with the push of the door release button. You have to lift up and pull on the door to get it to open.

Broke after 14 months and light use

Unit came brand new with home. We use it every other day. Sound stopped working after a year. Heating unit broke at 17 months. Only 1 year warranty, so we are SOL. I won't buy Whirlpool again.

Noisy

Haven't had the oven too long, but here are first impressions: Noisy - will not stop beeping; Not if you open it up just as the cycle finishes. Beeps after finishing for awhile to "remind" you of your item in the oven. Can't find a way to configure to silent mode. There are no manuals online. Also, the door button is noisy open and the door slams shut no matter what because there is no handle. Too noisy.

Bought in December to replace 12 year old GE unit that failed. In February, after nearly 3 months of use, the light went out. It is not replacable. Then the clock failed. Still under warranty so they sent a new one. After one week it is still working.

Great warranty replacement

This microwave was a builder install on a new home. The gray wave guide card inside of the oven did not have tabs on one side and fell out. The oven would not operate after that. Whirlpool sent a replacement microwave and had techs install it. Not sure why the small card was not available yet but was pleased with the response!

This microwave is the perfect size for our kitchen and has all the power we need. Rather than purchase a microwave with lower wattage that doesn't cook or warm things up in a reasonable time, we opted for this one and don't regret it at all.
